Sound Monitor Power Specifications

The power specifications are based on reference standards to give the monitors a reference point based on the frequency response necessary for good natural sounding reproduction. ( 0"VU" based on A.E.S. standards)    So when monitoring the mix when recording you have a reference point pertaining to the power and characteristics of the frequency response of the drivers used.  The reference point does not change as when you up the volume when  performing  LIVE, you  have ample power to be used as LIVE monitors with outstanding dynamic range and signal to noise ratio.   So the sound never changes just the over all sound level output in reproduction.   The component specifications used in these monitors are the same as in all of our equipment.    This is why the reference point stays the same, the signal is the same all the way to the power output.   So the power specifications for these self powered monitors are as follows:

All drivers have power directly at their input  / no phase errors , no noise, no fading under load, no coloration,  absolute reproduction  All drivers are feed by an absolute separate power supply, power needed for full output is never exceeded,  in fact the drivers never see a limit to the power needed for both sides of the sound wave in reproduction.   In theory the gain of the signal is done in steps at different points along the signal chain so the overall characteristics of the circuits never limit the output.

These are no compromise designs, made for outstanding reproduction characteristics.  We have designed a standard level of specifications that  support the positive characteristics of a  correctly designed mix.   The characteristics we aim for in components,  unlimited power supply design,  directly power the  quality of the line-amp signal, in resolution, depth of sound stage, and overall Three Dimensional  Presentation.
